A new type of hotel has emerged in the city of Indianapolis. It’s situated in a popular neighborhood, but it’s separate from downtown. The hotel is modern and offers privacy, but it encourages its guests to enjoy the hotel’s common areas. The hotel serves wine in the evening, and offers a free continental breakfast in the morning.
The boutique hotel is near coffee shops, restaurants, brewpubs and a Monon trail. The hotel has a cabin feel, but it’s really close to the city.

2. JW Marriott Indianapolis
The JW Marriott Indianapolis is a 33-story hotel that towers over the surrounding buildings. Inside the hotel, 1,005 rooms offer gorgeous views of the city. Among nearby destinations are the Indiana Convention Center, Circle Centre Mall, Victory Field and Lucas Oil Stadium.
The hotel’s High Velocity Bar is a great place to enjoy craft beer when you’re not at home. The lobby is also home to the fine-dining restaurant Osteria Pronto, where you can sample Italian cuisine.

A beautiful hotel in Indianapolis was once an actual train station. Back in 1853, you could catch a train at the station and travel anywhere in the United States. If you’ve got business in downtown Indianapolis, check out The Le Méridien hotel. It’s in the heart of Indy, near the convention center and Lucas Oil Stadium. Le Méridien is a modern hotel that doesn’t skimp on amenities. Inside, you’ll find a lobby with a library of books for guests to borrow, a fitness center, and an excellent restaurant (Spoke & Steele) specializing in bourbon-based drinks.
The hotel rooms are gorgeous, but you probably won’t spend much time in them because the Circle Centre Mall is just a few steps away. And if you really need a Steak and Shake fix, there’s one across the street.
6. The Alexander Indianapolis
The Alexander hotel is super close to Milktooth, an acclaimed modern diner in Fletcher Place that serves dishes like sorghum-glazed bacon and sourdough lemon poppyseed waffles.
After you’ve eaten, tuck yourself into one of the rooms at the hotel. They are filled with vibrant artwork and sleek furniture. Do not forget to stop by Plat 99, a bar that you can visit for drinks. This bar is distinctive because of its glass sculptures that hang from the ceiling.
7. Conrad Indianapolis
Conrad Indianapolis is a hotel in the thick of it in downtown Indy. It is close to the mall and Buca di Beppo. It has a museum of its own, a spa, and a bar that focuses on wine tasting.
Art lovers will be delighted to know that the hotel’s themed suites are inspired by the most exciting art movements of the 20th century. They are Pop Art, Contemporary Art, and Surrealism.
8. Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing
This hotel is located in Indianapolis but doesn’t have a view of the city. It’s connected to the Fashion Mall at Keystone, which means you can shop without getting in your car. The fitness center has great equipment and offers good views of the White River. The restaurant serves delicious food and has a fantastic view of the river.
The hotel lobby is part of the Sheraton experience. It features hanging lighting and a variety of couches where guests can relax.
